I still drive the first Lexus IS300. A wagon version with a small turbo build. This car looks gorgeous, it aged well and you can drift it, take it to the track, or drive it daily. It's a familly car and an enthousiast car in the same package and it slays even recent cars, that are much less able to deal with curvy roads. I'm sure the IS500 will be a beast.

Honestly though, the Lexus V8 sounds effeminate compared to the naturally aspirated 5.2L FLAT-PLANE crank V8 in the GT350R and it’s manual! First off! The V6 Camry is a beast and the ultimate sleeper because no one expects it. No Camry bashing...The FKS is in the Camry, the FSE is in the IS. Different motor...but the ISF has been around forever so I am only impressed that they changed the name back to to AlphaNumeric. I’m a Toyota fan since the Supra days and the LS400 so I get mad when people say they’re slow or boring. They aren’t. Have never been!

If you like Lexus and don't mind a used one, they are affordable and most reliable. I picked up an eight year old 2010 ISF for a bit over a third of the original price. The ISF is a sleeper, those not in the know thinks it's a FSport 350 or worse a 250.

I don't get it. How much is this "enthusiast car" worth? Dude, this is going to be a stratospheric price, it is a Lexus... A real "enthusiast car" is worth max 30k(€) and is designed to allows for easy aftermarket parts installation (space in the engine bay, few luxury interior parts, areas intended for drilling...). How much does this boat weight? Was it really necessary to have 4 tailpipes? In my opinion, this is a luxury car, not a tuner/enthusiast car and Lexus shouldn't advertise it as such. Let Toyota do the sport with GR and TRD and let Lexus do the luxury...
